Optimize Photos with Confidence

In this six-part live online workshop experience, you'll learn to master the use of Adobe Lightroom Classic to optimize your photos with confidence. Along the way, get your questions answered during the live sessions or via email.

The six live online sessions will take place over the course of two weeks in March and April 2025, and each session will be approximately two hours in duration. Participants can join the live sessions in the "virtual classroom" from just about anywhere they have internet access. All sessions will be recorded, so that photographers who register for this workshop can review (and download) the session recordings anytime at their convenience.

This online workshop is about more than just understanding how Lightroom Classic works. You'll get tips on how to approach the optimization workflow based on your specific goals for a photo, gain an understanding of what is actually going on behind the scenes for key adjustments, and get answers to your specific questions along the way.

This session will help you better understand how photo optimization works in Lightroom Classic, and provide tips to help you improve the overall tone and color in your photos. Topics will include:

• Tricks for better evaluating your photos
• How profiles can be applied as a basic starting point for your photos
• A detailed look at the basic adjustments for overall tonality
• Tips and techniques for achieving optimal color in your photos
• Techniques for making photos stand out with more "pop"

Configuring for Develop

During this session you'll learn how to better configure and use Lightroom Classic for reviewing and optimizing your photos. You'll learn:

• Recommendations for configuring the Lightroom Classic interface when optimizing photos
• Using the various before and after views to evaluate the adjustments applied to a photo
• A detailed look at the various options to undo, disable, and reset adjustments
• The use of history and snapshots as part of the decision-making process for optimizing photos
• How to use virtual copies to create more than one interpretation of a photo

Image Cleanup and Corrections

This session will guide you through the many options for correcting blemishes and distractions in your photos. Topics will include:

• Cleaning up blemishes and distractions in your photos, including the new AI-based Generative Remove feature
• Cropping and rotating photos with precision

• Compensating for perspective distortion
• Getting the best results with noise reduction
