Day 1

Finding Your Photos: Being able to locate your photos is sort of the whole point of organizing your images in the first place. Plus, learning the various ways you can find your photos can help identify ways you can improve your organizational workflow. In this presentation you'll learn some of the most helpful ways you can locate photos in Lightroom Classic.

Optimizing Your Configuration: In this presentation you'll learn how to make Lightroom Classic your own, and how to maximize performance. You'll get tips about your catalog and photo storage, see how interface changes can help you work more efficiently, and more.

Import Like a Pro: Importing photos into your catalog is at the core of your workflow, and yet many photographers ignore key features available during import. In this presentation you'll learn techniques for making the most of the relatively basic but very impactful process of importing your photos into Lightroom Classic.

Favorites and Outtakes: One of the best things you can do to avoid getting overwhelmed by your photos and ensure you can always find the photo you need is to identify your favorite photos versus outtakes. In this presentation you'll get tips for defining a workflow for efficiently narrowing down your photos to just your favorites, and how to deal with outtake photos.

Leveraging the Cloud: While the non-Classic version of Lightroom gets a lot of attention for being focused on cloud-based storage, you can still leverage the cloud in Lightroom Classic. In this presentation you'll get tips for how and why to leverage cloud storage, simple techniques for sharing your photos, migrating photos from your smartphone to your computer, and much more.

Location Metadata: If the location where you capture your photos is meaningful, documenting that information can be very helpful, both for locating specific photos and being reminded of where they were captured. In this presentation you'll learn about some of the options for adding location information to your photos, including completely automated approaches as well as manual options.
